Hi, i accidentally inserted the sim card ejection tool into the upper microphone hole while trying to replace the sim card. i felt a jerk (like the tool tore or broke something), i have tested my microphone and it works just fine, however, i am worried if i have broken or damaged the waterproofing of the phone. i observed the performance and any damages to the microphone for a week now and everything seems to work fine. the only concern i have here is if my phone’s waterproofing is damaged. Thanks, Danish Khan.
My guess is NO. :) I have a couple of opened up S9 (not S9+, which is why I’m only guessing) and the water seal is placed to the side of the hole where you would have inserted the tool. I put a tool in there and wiggled it around and could do nothing to the seal. Also, the seal is very delicate so even if you break it, you would not feel it, so I have no idea what the “jerk” you felt might be. So again, I guess you didn’t damage the water proofing but, just in case, don’t go swimming with the thing. ; D

No this will not effect the water proofing at all as long as you din’t stick it deep.
