Hi guys, I have replaced my charger port in my iPhone 7 and the signal has stopped working. I thought it was a faulty signal cable but even a new one still isn’t working. The charger port itself does work though. I have come come to a conclusion that it may be a short circuit somewhere or something I am missing as if the charger port flex is plugged into its socket the signal won’t work but it I release the charger port flex and keep the signal cable plugged in, it will work absolutely fine. (But no port working to charge the phone!) It seems abit odd! That both new charger ports would do the same thing but the old charger port works absolutely fine apart from the connection for the charger is loose and is going all funny. Someone suggested that it’s to do with a grounding connection? Please help!!
Does signal work fine with one of the antenna cables unplugged? There are two that are plugged in near battery connector. Funnily enough if it works with one of them at least signal will be fine but will be a little weaker.
Sounds like faulty replacements, can you get a genuine one? Or clean your original out.
