Side button does not work after installing ifixit new battery. Can’t turn phone off therefor. Virtual side button on screen can be used to put phone to sleep.
Hi Ed, There’s a flex cable running under the top part of the battery, it’s possible that if you poked around there or tried to pry the battery out from the top you could’ve damaged the flex cable.
