I dropped my phone in my bathroom and the screen cracked at the top left and then a large crack also formed across the middle of the screen. The phone seems to function fine but I can no longer use the phone as 90% of the screen is now blank flashing white. Is it worth the cost it would take to repair this or shall I just bite the bullet and buy a new one? Thank you.

EDIT TO MY ANSWER in CAD, the repair cost would be around 575$, where the replacement is 1050$ USD you are likely looking at roughly 400$ for a repair, and 850$ for the phone? (rough estimate on guessing the current exchange rate.) So the repair would be half the cost of the device. i suggest a repair.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 plus lcd screen replacement is about $350 at etradesupply, if you replace a new screen, it will cost more. While getting a new phone maybe twice for the cost. Maybe you can sell it and buy a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus.
