error code F08 indicates a heater fault so I have replaced the element but still displays error code.

F08 Open circuit error detected on heating circuit The main control unit in the washing machine has detected that there is an open circuit somewhere in the heating circuit. The main control unit will detect this error at the start of a program and during the spin phase. Check wash heating element for continuityCheck the wash heater for earth leakageCheck wiring to the heaterCheck the control unit
In order to remove the error code: 2 options: 1 Reprogram the CCU which is known as an ETNA CCU (module). This will require a hardware key and an ESAM unit (neither of which are readily available to purchase). 2 Install a pre-programmed ETNA CCU for the correct model.
I’m adding this info in 2021 in order to help anyone who encounters the same problem. BTW - I’m a field service engineer.
