I have tried to remove the heatsink of my nitro 5 so i can replace the thermal paste but in the process i have messed up 3 screws on the heatsink, making it hard for my toolkit (moray kit) philips head driver bits to get a good grip on the screws. the screws would normally look like this (was unable to get an good clear image of the screw so made a quick drawing to represent) https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/6… but the screws that i damaged look something like this. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/6… I’ve tried all the philips head screw bits but all failed. most other driver bits were too small or too thick (model an515-54-54w2, unable to find my specific model, AN515-53-55G9 was the only acer nitro 5 choice) please help

you have stripped the screw head out. If they aren’t torqued in hard you may be able to use a flat tip to get them out. Select one that will fit snugly into whats left of the slots in it and press down while turning. This method normally works for me.
