So the screws on the back of my switch are stripped, I have the right screwdrivers and everything, but I accidentally used the wrong ones a few years ago. My switch is stuck on the boot logo screen, Ive tried everything that doesnt involve opening the switch up, but none of those worked. So now Im going to try out some methods that involve opening the switch. One problem. 2 of the screws are stripped, 1 is missing, and 1 is fine. Ive tried rubber bands, but I think Im doing it wrong, so Im not too sure what to do now, anyone know what I should do?
For the less stripped one, it looks like using a rubber band should work. When doing this you need to do it slowly and it usually takes some time and a lot of tries. For the other one, try to use a needle or something similar and see if you can get rid of the stripped away metal and then try the rubber band. If that doesn’t work, the best thing I can think of now is to take a screwdriver you don’t really care about and put a tiny bit of glue on it, then put it in the screw and wait for it to cure. Make sure to NOT GET ANY GLUE AROUND THE SCREW! Only between the screw and the driver. When it is cured, try and gently and slowly rotate it counterclockwise to try and loosen the screw.
