I recently replaced the battery in my MBP retina mid2014, everything went fine but I must have killed my display in some sort. The image on the display is completely distorted and unusable, but the laptop works perfectly fine with external displays. I just replaced the LVDS cable of the device in the hopes of getting it fixed that way but the problem persists. LVDS connector on the logic board broken? Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Ouch! Your internal displays T-CON board has failed. Sadly this is not repairable, you’ll need to replace the display assembly 15” MacBook Pro Display Assembly, Apple P/N 661-8310 and here’s the guide MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2014 Display Assembly Replacement
