When there is any amount of pressure against the bottom part of the bezel that surrounds the screen it will shut off but immediately turn back once the pressure is removed. I can still hear audio while this occurs.
Hi,, What is the full model number of the laptop? It appears as though the LVDS cable is either loose or it may be damaged where it passes through the hinge to get from the motherboard to the display panel. In either case the laptop will have to be dis-assembled (at least partially) so that the cable connection at the display panel can be inspected and the cable itself can be checked for any damage. If you search on YouTube for Acer (insert full model number) teardown or screen replacement, hopefully there may be some videos that will help with the dis-assembly process. If the cable is faulty there may be a part number stamped on the cable. Use that number to search for a replacement cable or search for Acer (insert full model number) LVDS cable to get results for suppliers.
