Chosen Solution

I took the phone to a repair for a battery issue. They told me they’ll need to replace the U2-IC. Didn’t solve the issue and was asked to return if issue persists. I noticed that the portrait orientation and compass stopped working. The repair person tested a different screen (I’m not sure why). The repair person put my original screen back and the touch ID is no longer working. I read that using an unauthorized sensor breaks the functionality. What if the original sensor was returned? Shouldn’t it restore the function?

First the phone has to have the original home button or the Touch ID will not work. If the phone still has the original home button then reset the phone by holding down the home button then the power and hold both buttons until the appple icon comes on. I had a customer iPhone 6 that the Touch ID didn’t work until they updated the phone to the newest software??? Apple is the only one that can reprogram a home button.

If is different new screen then the touch ID will not work but if is yours maybe is just not good connected on the logique board but take back at shop because is not point if was sreen work then after replacement stop it
