Hello! I recently decided to replace the screen on my friends iPhone 8. I made the decision to buy a much cheaper screen replacement from a different website rather than Ifixit. The screen works great however the edges of the screen seem to be very raised, And are not smooth with the edge of the frame like the original screen. I’m sure I probably made a mistake buying the replacement screen from a cheaper website. However I’m wondering if I fix it’s screen replacement looks much better on the phone. I want to make sure that the edges are lower to the frame because I’m afraid of it being cracked much easier because the edges are so high. What have your replacements from ifixit been like?
I personally haven’t bought a screen replacement from this site (in general haven’t needed one before) however there are plenty of reviewers and repair youtubers. Did the replacement screen you ordered come with the water resistant seal? If not that may be the issue. Hope this helps!
