Hi, I have just replaced the screen on an iPhone 6. I always use genuine LCDs that have been refurbished with new glass. After using the phone, the screen responds normally, but after a few minutes of usage, touch response becomes very intermittent, especially around the edges of the screen. Locking and unlocking the phone again seems to fix the issue for another couple of minutes until it happens again

  • after trying other screens, I believe this is an issue with this screen however does anyone know the likely cause for this fault on the screen as it strange the problem resolves itself for a few minutes after locking and unlocking?(cannot see any visible damage to the flex cables)

Sounds like a defective screen. There may be tiny damage to the flex cables that you do not see causing a short to the screen twhich then causes it to act up. Locking and unlocking screen is a common fix for Touch ID is such as touch disease. You may be having this but you did say other screens worked which is good. If touch issues persist on new screens, I would like at having Touch IC chip looked at and possibly replaced. Have you contacted the company you use for refurbishing to see what happened?
