I;ve not done an Iphone 6 screen replacement before and have brought a complete unit, LCD, Digitizer, Camera and home button. My question is, If I swap to use the original home button and LCD back plate with cable will the touch ID function as normal?
Yes as long as you use the original undamaged full home button assembly you should still have the touch ID function. You would loose the touch ID function if you replace the original home button assembly. So as long as you use the original home button assembly it should work.
