I did a screen replacement for an iPhone 7 plus (oem screen) and before I put all the screws and plate on it I test it and it functions fine. When I put the front camera sensor the home button the back plate and the screws that go on the motherboard ( I made sure I didn’t misplace them because that could cause the phone to get a blue screen) and close up the phone it keeps restarting just on the Apple logo. Sometimes it would go to the home screen for like 5-10 mins then it shuts back down. I asked around and they told me it’s because of the front camera theirs a sticker that needs to be intact with the camera ( if you don’t heat it up good ) can this be true ? Maybe it fried the front camera and it’s not letting it turn on ? Anything helps guys thanks !
I have a similar issue with an iPhone 7 plus screen I just tried replacing. After installing the replacement screen. The phone would restart when trying to make a call. So I put the old screen back on, then the ear piece speaker would not work, everything else would. Tried reseating the camera/earpiece cable and now the cracked screen does the same as the replacement screen, it restarts when I try to make a phone call. I see posts stating that it could be the cam/speaker cable, so that is what I have on order, for now, the customer is without a functioning phone.
I just made a screen replacement and and home buttton replacement. when i turn on keeps restarting. I disconnect the home button and its turn on without problem. So the problem is with the home button i bought on amazon.
I FOUND A SOLUTION. Take the silver piece that holds down the camera wires on the logic board. I tried to make a call with it on, soft reboot, took it off, made calls fine. Knew it couldnt be the camera wire as the camera worked and sensors work. Hopefully this helps some
