My phone’s screen is black (it was static, but now is black) but I can hear the start-up tone (scratchy but still hear it) so I know the phone has some functionality. What needs to be replaced? The red light also flashes when charging. It had some debris in the charging port which I attempted to clean out with rubbing alcohol (phone off) but I think I scrambled it:(
Sounds like at the very least you will need to replace the screen assembly. Provided the new screen works you should be able to test the functionality of the phone afterwards to see if anything else needs be repaired on the device.
