My iPhone X suddenly developed this problem yesterday. It’s screen is ALWAYS lit bright white with a tinge of green in the middle band. It seems to function normally otherwise: 1) power save mode 2) receives calls, 3) seems to react to the touch screen (as long as I know where I am touching), but the screen is ALWAYS bright white. I have done hard reboot but of no avail. The ONLY way it works is if I can get it to the LOWEST brightness which I was miraculously able to do. So I cant see the contents well, but since I use the “dark mode” by default, I am able to ready/navigate the screen. But the moment I change teh brightness to be even a NOTCH higher than MINIMUM setting, the problem comes back.

You need a new screen. It’s been dropped or people put the phones in their front or back pants pocket and sit down with the phone in there. It’s worse if you have tight pants. The phone will twist or bend and put pressure on the screen and damage it. It needs a new screen and make sure you use OLED screen not a cheap lcd sscreen. It’s not made for a LCD screen and can damage the phone.
