I am having difficulty finding a replacement diffuser and locking hinge shown for the 3DS (original). Are these the same parts as I can find for the 3DS XL? I can see those all over the place - just not ones listing for the original.
Sadly the XL hinge and diffuser will not work. The diffuser is larger and has a different setup as it also locks the top portion in place with locking hinge. You’re best luck might be getting a replacement shell or button parts that include the diffuser in it. The hinge shouldn’t be that hard to find, in theory at least. Just scour eBay and possibly some other sites.
