Hi everyone, Replaced a screen for a customer the other day, initial checks were fine but customer has messaged saying the screen is going blank when covering the proximity sensor, this is when it’s being used normally and not on a call. Just wondering if anyone has had this issue before I have a look? I would imagine it’s something to do with the flex? Thanks in advance
Tell the customer to try to disable raise to wake: https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT208081 Also check if the phone is stuck on a black screen when calls are made. Sounds like a software issue as it’s something I’ve never encountered before when repairing iPhones. Might want to think about backing up the phone, then restoring the phone via iTunes which wipes all data on the phone.
