was doing a battery replacement and after i got the screen off i wanted to check everything was ok so i booted it up and it would post the microsoft logo, then flicker some little white squares above the logo in a line. then goes black. Hooked up to a monitor with the mini display port and its running fine on there. does this mean the screen is broken, even tho it still shows the logo for a sec? Update (06/05/2019) also the touch screen even works when its a black screen, i can see my fingers interacting with stuff on the monitor hooked up through mini display port
If the screen still exhibits some functionality, then perhaps it wasn’t re-attached properly? Try carefully re-attaching it one more time to see if there’s a difference.
