Hi people! I have a MacBook Pro 13" (Mid 2012) / A1278 model. The screen flicks and the system freezes so I have to turn it off. What do you suggest to start looking for? I read in forums that some MacBook Pro had problems with the Nvidia graphic card or the backlight display. If it freezes it is not completely dead but something starting to fail is pretty bad. Could it be a temperature issue too?Could i change some part to try to see if works? If i have to change the display (U$S 1000) it is not affordable anymore. Any help or ideas?Thanks 1000! ;-)
First try starting up in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift key on start up and let us know if the issue persists.
The 2012 mbp never had widespread graphics issues. You are thinking of the 2011 15 inch.
