During the boot up sequence or often while the computer is on, the screen will either fade out to a fuzzy view with no image or just freeze and when you move the lid/screen it comes back on as if it was in sleep mode. If you type while this happens, nothing occurs on the screen, but when you move the screen up or down,it resumes and whatever you have typed fills in Thoughts
It sounds like there is an issue with the LVDS cable (the display cable) between the motherboard and display panel. You can replace the LVDS cable and see it if it helps. These is a chance that the issue could be in the display panel itself as well.
