I broke the original screen, and replaced with one purchased on amazon. Now the smart covers lock and unlock feature stopped working. I swapped back the cracked old original one and it starts working again. Can anyone help me purchase one that works like original screen. Or tell me what might be causing the issue.
that functionality is part of the home button flex cable. If you got a cheap screen which includes the home button, the circuitry for that feature was left off. Either you can desolder the home button flex that came with the new screen, and then transfer the original home button flex. Or if you purchase a new screen from a reputable supplier, it should be fully functional. Update This image compares the original flex and one that’s missing the sleep wake functionality.
