I have dropped my 2018 13” Macbook Pro to a carpet floor. Now I can open up the lid until approximately 75 degree without any display problem. But the screen dead once the lid is opened up to further degree. I have brought to the repair store and they said it is the problem of some cables. I’m wondering how I can fix this, by myself? Many Thanks.
There is a set of ribbon cables which traverse between the main case to the display lid.
Sadly, these cables are not replaceable on there own, the complete display unit needs to be replaced MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Mid 2018-Mid 2019) Display Assembly and here’s the guide MacBook Pro 13" Touch Bar 2018 Screen Replacement FYI - A new screen will need calibration to set the TrueTone and camera. A used screen won’t need that.
