Chosen Solution

Hello. I changed the screen of a macbook and I realized that when I open and close the screen quickly (normaly, like if it’s the first time you open your mac), there are no problems. But if I move it gently to reposition the screen higher or lower and therefore go more slowly when I move it, it makes a little creak when I start to move it. I hope I explained myself clearly enough. Any explanations/solutions? Thanks.

Hi It might be worth cleaning the hinges with isopropyl alcohol from the inside as there could be debris caught in them Here’s the guide for getting the display off MacBook Air 13" Late 2020 Screen Replacement I would stay away from lubricants as they could remove the tension/stiffness of the hinges Also if you go ahead with the isopropyl alcohol make sure to use it with a soft cloth in small amounts as it can get behind the display if you aren’t careful which can cause watermarks on the display behind the glass Hopefully this helps Any questions please ask Thanks:-)
