Chosen Solution
After using the iFixit kit to replace the screen and digitizer on my iPhone 7, the colors on my display now seem cooler and fainter overall. I changed the display settings to warmer and it helped but I am wondering if this is because it’s a new screen (meaning I just have to get used t it) or did we not install it correctly? Similarly the touchpad works fine but is sensitive in different ways. Some of the things click easier when I don’t want them to click, while other things, like typing, is harder to do overall. I am also using a glass screen protector which I have never used before.
The glass screen protector could very well be affecting the sensitivity as I have had this issue with my old iPhone 7 too and removing the screen protector worked. However I have not tried to use a touchscreen that had just been replaced with an iFixit kit and with a screen protector. The screen color and tone is normal as I have replaced screens before with iFixit kits and the color has been a little bit brighter then before for me too.
