Okay, here is the weird situation. I changed the screen of an iphone 8, everything works perfect, customer came back, he cannot edit or add contacts because the keyboard wont show, but on everything else keyboard pops up. Anyone know what this is? I suspect a software issue since keyboard is showing every where else.
Try a hard reset first (See: How to force iPhone 8 to reboot) However I think you are correct, a software fault is the most likely cause of this and that would be fixed via an update/restore. Is the customer on the beta program? A friend of mine is and he could only answer incoming calls, his dialer wouldn’t work until the following update was available.
