Hello, I replaced my iPhone5 battery and during that process something went wrong. My LCD screen wouldn’t turn on anymore and it is probably completely broken. So I bought a new LCD/digitizer. I fully replaced it and my iPhone is working again. However my screen is very dim. The backlight is working up to around 35% of the brightness slider. I can dim my screen with the slider to 0% (and make it brighter again), however above around 35% of the slider it makers no difference. Although the slider is at 80% or 100%, the LCD is still very dim like the slider is at 35%. Someone has a suggestion on how to fix this? I already bought another LCD/digitizer but it had the same problem.

I would troubleshoot like this: 1.) Rule out software–hard reset, then restore 2.) Rule out peripherals (sounds like you’ve done this) known good LCD screen/put board in a known good housing 3.) Send board out to someone like me but ideally local for backlight repair on the motherboard–replace filters, backlight ic, backlight coil good luck! jessa
