i dropped my phone last week, the screen was cracked and it started artifacting so i replaced the screen myself following the ifixit guide on how to do so, after replacing the screen im still getting artifacts ive tried unplugging and replugging the display and digitizer cables but no luck any help much appreciated
Could be a few issues. Either a bad replacement part, or accidental damage during repair. Check the connectors for the LCD. Are any of the golden pins visibly damaged? Any dust in there? Any noticeable marks on them at all? Check the new display for the same potential issues. If you notice any damaged pins, you’re going to need to take it to a specialist repair shop. It might need board work. If there’s any dust in the connectors or pins, try blowing it out with compressed air (Don’t use your mouth, the last thing you need to do is get spit into the connectors too!), or use some isopropyl alcohol, at least 90% concentration, to try and clean it out with a cotton ear bud Good luck!
