Chosen Solution

Hi everyone, I have a Samsung Xpress M2825ND printer that stopped working after several blackouts. In particular, when I connect it to the mains and go to press the ON button, it does not make the classic heating noise of the fuser but turns on all the LEDs on the control panel. It appears that the printer is in protection. To turn it off, I have to unplug it from the mains.

Searching the internet I noticed that this printer has produced the same problem for many other people as well, but I could not find a solution.

Do any of you have experiences on this?

I have not yet proceeded to disassemble and test the circuit. In case I should proceed, what do you advise me to check?

Thank you.

Hi @veclam500 , Don’t know the answer but here’s an image of the Troubleshooting flowchart taken from the service manual for your series printer, that may be a good place to start., The manual also details how to disassemble the printer etc given that you may have to check the power board.

(click on image to enlarge for better viewing) If you do see a problem on one of the boards and you’re not quite sure post some close up images back here. Here’s how to do this. Adding images to an existing question Hopefully a start.
