My 55 inch samsung smart TV sometimes makes a strange noise and then turns off and then comes back on, what could cause this
@broker, Don, Try going into the menu and the ECO section, turning off all the functions that cut power to the tv … there’s three different ones possibly at that one ECO option… Menu > system > eco solution.. turn off all three and try TV. If this does work you may want to try a factory reset, link #2 will give instruction on how to reset. If problem persist, it could be because of known issue of poor capacitors(link 2&3 have more info. on this problem) lots more info out there on the net about this issue, in which case you would have to remove back off of TV and locate bad capacitors on board/power supply and replace. If not comfortable working on electronics have a good TV repair tech. have a look, diagnose and estimate repair. Good luck.
