My Samsung SMH2117S microwave interior light stays on with the door closed, I reset the microwave, and that caused the fans to run, and the light still stayed on. The unit will not let me set a time or adjust the heat level. The 3 door switches are good, I’m lost and need help.
Hi, Seems like there’s a problem with the keypad assembly or perhaps the control board. Looking at the schematic in the service manual the oven light circuit is completed by the lamp relay being operated on the control board. Sticking contacts perhaps. The oven lamp circuit does not pass through the interlock switches -see p.41 in the manual. Given that you also can’t adjust some of the settings, then it perhaps points to a problem with the keypad assembly e.g. shorted membrane perhaps causing the control board not to function correctly. Once you’ve determined what the problem is and if a part needs replacing then use the supplier linked to find the manufacturer’s part number for the part and then search online using that information to find suppliers that suit you best.
