Hello, I have two series 7 Samsung smart TVs - one is a model UN50NU7100 (50” and the other is the same but 58”). I have a Windows 10 HP DV7 laptop (Pavilion - DV7-6B32US) which has the latest and greatest updates from MS and is booted to maximum physical capabilities. 16GB RAM + 2 internal HD - one is 500GB (only has OS and programs - no data) and the other is 1TB. The TV was marketed as having a feature making it capable of connecting a computer to it through HDMI to mirror the screen. I have tried multiple HDMI cables to make certain it is not simply a bad cable. The TV sees there is a cable connected but will not activate the connection - it fails and says “no signal”. My laptop recognizes that there is a Samsung TV attached and acknowledges the TV is attempting to connect (my screen flashes) but that is all. I have had a remote session with Samsung and they give a pathetic and inexcusable line about “synchronization”. I am waiting for an escalation team to call me back but I am not holding my breath. During the session with Samsung we tried multiple different resolution changes to my display settings on my laptop but nothing works. Does anyone have any clue how to get this to work? Thank you. Sincerely, Wonder Woman 77
Try with auto dect screen on your PC. Also check on the TV HDMI resolutions settings. Just For testing you can try casting from your laptop supported by most of the Smart TV. Or you can try with chrome cast.
