Television turns on and off at inconsistent rates( but within 5 seconds either way) immediately after plugging in, new power cord arrived, same problem, buttons where disconnected and it did not help, visually inspected power board capacitors and they look fine( amateur). Any ideas

Andrew Rumzie  are you saying that it turns on then off and then on again? It loops like that? First you want to make sure this does not come from anywhere else but the TV. Disconnect all video inputs and all accessories like sound bar, cable box SAT box etc. The unplug the TV. Hold the power button depressed for about 1 minute. Then connect one local video input source. Something like a DVD player, game console etc. Plug the TV back in and try to turn it on. Let us know what happens. If it does turn off, does the power LED turn off or is it just the backlight that turns off. You want to remove the back cover from your TV and measure the voltages on the connector from the power board to the main board. Check the STBY voltage. Let us know what you get on that. If you can post a short video showing what your TV does when you turn it on. Post some good pictures of your boards as well so we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question
