Chosen Solution
Because the lock is quite new when it happens, it is likely due to an installation issue : alignment issue, friction issue with the door metal face plate, or the screws on the rear body plate is too tight or too loose. This can happen after a recent installation or after the door had a hard slam (due to wind etc.)
