Tv info: SamsungPlasma displayModel code: PS51D6905DKXXEVersion No: 02 Tv shows no sign of life, when plugged in the power supply board is whining & buzzing. If I unplug the main board with all the hdmi ports etc, the power supply is silent. I’ve tried unplugging everything connected to the main board but the power supply, it still has the same noise. The buzzing sounds like it’s coming from the coils near the noise filter. I can’t really locate the whining noise, but it’s from the power supply atleast. Can’t turn on tv & no power led glowing. I’d like to know if it’s even worth trying to fix, and in that case would it be the power supply or main board that is faulty?
No, it’s probably not worth it to fix because with the type of display it might harm you greatly if you make a slip with the tools.
