Hello, I have this old LCD TV Samsung LE32S88DX/XEH which recently started having problems. When I turn it on, I can see picture and backlight - TV is working, but then it immediately goes black in one second. Sound is still working. There is no picture (even when looking with flashlight). There is no backlight. I noticed one capacitor on power board looking little bit suspicious. But I do not have ESR meter and do not want to desolder it to test it. Still there is not very strong high pitched sound coming out of TV when turned on. (probably this capacitor?)

I measured all pins on power supply board with every other board disconnected. All voltage is steady, but on pins 19,21,22 I measured 12.03V but in specs it says 13V.

Could it be this capacitor or is it other problem since voltage is steady?

Hi @playandwin , Changing any capacitor that has a domed cap is a worthwhile thing to do. Usually they are not expensive to replace and if it solves the problem you’ve saved a lot of time.
