Hi Have an samsung UE65JS9500 curved TV. Yesterday no screen anymore. Standby light is on and very soft ticking from inside the case. Openend the case and thicking comes from powerboard BN44-00818A. Removed the powerboard. thicking also occure when powerboard is taken from the tv and on external power with no ribboncables attached It is a very calm, difficult to hear steady thicking. It comes from the area with the red circle. All other parts (capacitators) looks fine See attached picture Is this an powerboard fail or should i look at other items in the TV? thanks
Probably a bad solder joint or a failed electrolytic capacitor. Check your board carefully for both of these faults. Either way it should be easy to fix.
