My Samsung 4K LED 49KU6470 got vertical and horizontal lines across the screen. Samsung technie says the PCB is damaged as the panel was wiped with wet cloth. Pictures attached.
Unless the cloth was soaked, I find this a bit hard to believe. Anyway, there are ribbon connectors on the bottom of the set that may have gotten wet. Your best bet here is to open up the back and remove the cables from the connectors on the bottom of the set and clean them using alcohol. If any debris was left from the water, the alcohol bath may remove it. Reconnect the connectors once they are dry and try the set. Lines like this are often caused by poor connections so maybe the cleaning will help. It is also possible, if the set was on when this occurred, that there is damage to the T-con board or main board as a result of a couple of pins being shorted by the water.
