Hi everyone, Wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction, thanks in advance! My Phillips Saeco HD8762 is making a loud noise when trying to pass water onto the coffee grinds. Sound of water pressure and then I hear some ticking sounds as well. There is coffee pouring into my cup, but this is dripping not at full capacity (working but not right). It sounds to me the machine is trying to pass the pressured water, but somehow fails and then the build-up pressure is released by some part that gets ‘ticked’. When giving my machine his regular clean-up, I noticed that the glass sphere inside the brew unit valve (part 29, code 9991.168 in the pdf found at this site) was damaged, being chipped. Replaced this part. Also replaced the boiler connector, but problem persisted if not worse. All the gaps in the percolator are open. Anyone, any idea? Thanks again! Wen

Hi Wen, Have you tried to decalcify your machine? Or have you opened it to look at it? I have never repaired this specific type of coffee machine but some others that have the same kind of working system. Calcification is often found in the tubs or in other parts. Anyway , just a thought to look at! Good luck Manon
