my s6 got drowned halfway under water. after that phone has locked to overheating state so it wont allow to charge battery. i took the phone to service and they tested the battery and said its fine BUT they said motherboard is faulty. What should i do? i really want to fix this phone.
You need to have your phone put up through a water treatment by a reputable repair company. I’m guessing whoever you took it to didn’t even bother to take the phone apart right? The Edge can be tricky to disassemble, but it’s going to have to be done. After it’s been completely disassembled, the motherboard needs to be run through whats called a sonic cleaner. After that’s done, the phone can be reassembled and tested for any other parts that may have been damaged by the water. Not a bad idea to replace the idea out of caution after water damage, even if it seems ok. Your overheating message is often the result of a short on the charging port cable caused by the water exposure. With the right technician, I’d say there’s a very good chance your phone can be saved
