Chosen Solution
Whirlpool Duet front loading washer displays two dashes. Diagnostics mode shows F5E2, but the door seems to be locking just fine. The machine runs fine in “Clean Washer” cycle, but does not run in any other cycle. What would be the solution?

Kintan Brahmbhatt as you already identified, the F5E2 error code is actually the dL (door lock) error. You do want to go ahead and replace this first. It is possible that this is what is causing your washers issue (even so it works in Clean Washer ) Let us know what exact model number your washer is, so we can help you further if needed. Update (10/11/2020) Post some pictures of your control board etc., with your QUESTION. that way we can see what you see. It might be possible to jump the lid switch to see if that makes a difference.
