The MacBook Pro I have, gets very slow when running on battery, the cursor gets really slow. So I’ve been reading a lot and I identified my model (MacBook8,1) I erased the plist file in the kext file that the tutorial shows. Then when I reset the system it gets better, so I believe that I’ve fixed the problem, BUT, when I run Serato DJ 2.0.3 off of battery power the processor gets very high processing, and with the MagSafe connector plugged in it gets down to OK. What can I do?? I also run the app Dan said coconutBattery and shows this:
First I would check the battery to see how much life is left in it. Download this great free app: CoconutBattery. I would enable the show battery status in menu bar setting I would also make sure not to put the disk into sleep mode when on battery given you’re running a DJ app here. You may need to also clean and apply a fresh coat of thermal paste on the heatsink. As I’m also suspecting your system may be slowing down as it’s overheating. You might want to download this app: TG Pro it will allow you to monitor your systems temps so when the system slows down you can see if it’s overheating.
