Repair my ceiling were roof leak
If you are just looking to cover up the stain, then use a non-water based sealer and then repaint. Any reputable paint outlet will be able to recommend what kind of product to use on a particular medium (drywall, plaster, etc)
The non-water based sealer does magic. I fixed a leak in my roof with this and painted it over and it’s done.
