I tried to replace my iPhone 6s screen and when I was replacing the camera and speaker I ripped the rubber gasket that pulls the lcd connector up into place would this cause my screen to not work? also, when I tried to plug the ribbon connectors back into the logic board I tried to plug one of them into the wrong one and it smelled like it shorted out. not sure if my logic board is fried or if the gasket holding the lcd part up is the problem please help

i take it you didnt disconnect the battery when plugging in the screen, the smell is probably a fried component.
