Idk really what has happened. I have tried checking the connector with a flashlight, but can’t really see anything wrong. Nothing is inserting in completely resulting nothing working. I have tried a mouse, a USB drive but all have the same issue on not inserting into the USB port. Left side port does work fine. What should I do?
At this point one of the contacts have likely folded in on you so it’s blocking the plug. Here’s a view from the bottom
As you can see the Right side port from the top view point (left here) is the main logic board so its the more expensive part to replace - Ouch! Replacing the port its self is not that easy as it has a metal shell around it and the pins are through hole so they are hard to desolder without causing more damage. While using your system with just the one port is quite usable you still want to remove the risk of any shorting of that bent pin.
