Chosen Solution
After I did a screen/front shell replacement on my switch right joy cons aren’t connecting. i’ve tested 2 different joycon sets and verified they work on another switch. the left ones work fine but both right joycons start missing inputs after about 2 feet and disconnect completely after about 3 feet. when connected in hand held mode there are no issues.
open the red one up and verify there are no connector issues with the NFC antenna. check the pin inside the connector and make sure its seated properly.
