so, I was opening my laptop to change the keyboard, and as its stupid structure that need everything to be disassembled so I came across that ribbon cable under the fan, I removed it from its port, and it was still glued to the metal plate, I was going to remove it, but unfortunately I was holding the plate and a wrong hand move, the cable disconnected from the other side !! So, I don’t know what is this cable for? Can it be put back(I didn’t even find the blue plastic that glued it in its place or it should be totally replaced or do I need to change the whole chip that have it (what is it) or just tell me what to do

@loj download the service manual for your computer from here. That way you have no more surprises. Most commonly the cable comes with a power button board. You’d be looking in the ~USD $20 range. Use the number on your power board to find a replacement.
