I recently was working on my 3DS and ended up breaking off the white flap of the ribbon cable socket. Is there a way to fix this, it doesn’t seem like any plastic broke. The images below are pictures of the socket and flap. In image 1 it was partially connected, then in image 2 it completely came off. Is there anything I can do about this? Thanks :)

Salar Sheriff  there really is not much you can do. Ultimately you will have to replace the connector. See if you can find an old broken board and harvest the connector from that. Sometimes (seldom) a good strip of some good adhesive tape will temporarily work to hold the ribbon cable in place and get it to make contact.

Sometimes you can relocate the same flap into the connector. If you can’t, maybe you can buy a new connector, extract the flap and put into the connector of the board. But my recommendation is to change the entire ZIF socket of the board. You can buy one on eBay.
