Hi everyone! I’ll try to make this as short as possible, but for you to understand: What I’m trying to do is turning an broken iMac into a Retro-Gaming Machine using a Raspberry Pi. The iMac turns on, but has artifacts and doesn’t boot completely (looks like a broken graphics card and / or logic board to me). However, the power supply an the display still work, which is what I need. To power the display, I already ordered a VGA-Controller board from China, which needs 12V and 4-5A. Even though I do have the right power supply for my controller board, I would love to use the old iMacs power supply - this way I could have only one cable coming out of the iMacs back. Does anyone know if the iMacs power supply has outgoing wires with 12V? Could I potentially use these? I hope this isn’t too off topic and thanks for the great instructions! Regards Niklas

@supernick - This is someone else who wanted to reuse their display as an external: Convert internal display to external display In this case OldTurkey used a laptop but its no different for an iMac! Universal LCD driver Technique
