Hello! I have an iPhone 6s and i tried to charge it in the car. It stayed for 2 hours at charging and the battery procent showed only 1%. I tought maybe was the car charger’s fault. I took it home, tried to charge it, same problem. Only 1%, and if i take off the charger the device stays on like 5 minutes. I read something on the internet and tried to restore to factory settings, that didn’t work. I kinda solve it when i disconnected the back camera ribbon (idk why) and it worked for some time. Yesterday, i tried to charge it in the car(another car, another charger) and again, same problem. What is happening here? I must mention that i disconnected totally the back camera because i tought that was the problem, but now it makes the same problem even with the camera disconnected. Now i tried to put my motherboard on another iPhones 6s to see if it works. It doesn’t, makes the same restarting loop.. What is going on…
Since you tried it in a new housing you can rule out parts. Car charges are renowned for causing this especially on the iPhone 6s for some reason. I have had two come in the last 3 weeks. I usually change the two chips on the charging circuit “Tristar and Tigris” If you are near a phone repair shop drop in and ask them if they could hook up there tristar tester to confirm. If you have to use a car charger make sure you have an apple certified cable.
